Slab Leak Detection & Repair in Las Vegas

Specialized detection and repair for leaks under your foundation.

About This Service

A slab leak occurs in a water line beneath a home's concrete foundation and can cause damage if left unaddressed. Warm flooring or a rising water bill points to a leak under the slab, but those symptoms don't confirm one — a leak in a wall, the yard, or the water main can look similar — so we confirm the leak and its location before recommending anything. If your leak isn't under the foundation, our leak detection & repair page covers those situations.

Common Warning Signs

  • An unexplained increase in your water bill
  • A water meter that keeps moving with every fixture shut off
  • Warm or hot spots on the floor
  • Damp, soft, or discolored flooring
  • The sound of running water when nothing's on
  • Cracks in walls or flooring
  • Moisture or mildew along the baseboards or foundation

Why You May Need This Service

  • Aging or corroded pipes under the slab
  • Shifting or settling of the foundation
  • Abrasion or friction on under-slab piping
  • High water pressure stressing the lines

Our Professional Approach

We investigate the source of the leak before recommending repair options. We confirm the leak is under the slab rather than in a wall, the yard, or the water main, then lay out the options that fit your home — a spot repair at the damaged section, rerouting the affected line, or repiping — and explain what each would involve before any work begins.

How a Slab Leak Is Assessed

A leak under the foundation is handled in the same order every time, so you know what to expect:

  1. 1We confirm there's actually a leak. We check the likely causes first — a running toilet, a fixture leaking where it's visible, an irrigation line — then isolate the plumbing and see whether it's genuinely losing water. Warm flooring or a rising bill points us in a direction; it doesn't tell us what's wrong on its own.
  2. 2We establish that it's under the slab. With the leak confirmed, we work out where it is. A leak under the foundation behaves differently from one in a wall, in the yard, or on the water main, and confirming which one it is decides everything that follows.
  3. 3We explain the repair options. We lay out the options that fit your home — a spot repair at the damaged section, rerouting the affected line, or repiping — and explain what each would involve, including what has to be opened to reach the line, before you decide.
  4. 4We do the work and check it. Once the approach is agreed, we complete the repair and verify the line is holding before the work is finished. We backfill excavated areas with dirt. Concrete, asphalt, and landscaping restoration are not services we provide and are not included in our estimate. Customers must arrange any needed restoration with another contractor.

What Affects the Recommended Approach, Timing & Cost

The right repair for a slab leak depends on your specific home and leak rather than a flat rate. The main factors are:

  • The leak's location and how accessible it is — a leak in an open area is a different job from one under finished flooring or in a tight space.
  • The condition and material of the under-slab piping — whether the leak is isolated to one spot or the line is failing in more than one place.
  • The repair approach — a spot repair is limited to the damaged section, while rerouting or repiping replace the line's path or the piping itself and involve more work.
  • Your home's layout and finishes — how much flooring or finish has to be opened to reach the line and restored afterward, and how deep the line sits.
  • Timing — the same factors decide how long the work takes. We'll give you a clear picture of the approach and schedule once we've located the leak and confirmed what's involved.
